HVAC Technician  

 Summary:  Performs routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including air distribution machinery, hot and chilled water distribution and performs other general and preventative maintenance work orders, as needed, at all buildings and facilities managed by the Public Building Authority by performing the following duties:

  1. Installs, repairs, removes, and maintains boilers, chillers, HVAC systems.
  1. Manages tenant requests concerning HVAC and maintenance issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  1. Performs preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC systems.
  1. Tests malfunctioning machinery and equipment.  Discusses malfunction with appropriate staff and supervisors to diagnose malfunction and verify necessary repairs.

       5. Diagnoses malfunctions and replaces faulty electrical components of equipment such as relays, switches, and motors.

  1. Reviews plans or blueprints for installation and code compliance.
  1. Performs preventative maintenance on all other building systems as needed.
  1. Responds to facility emergencies.
  1. May require some deviated hours or overtime.

Parking Booth Attendant

Under the daily direction of the Manager of Parking Services or Assistant Manager of Parking Services, performs all booth functions required in Public Building Authority (PBA) managed parking structures by performing the following duties.

  1. Assist management in the daily operations of the parking facility. 
  1. Perform cashiering functions as needed. These occur in and out of booth when needed.
  1. Assists customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations and exit station equipment. 
  1. Prepares daily sales reports and cashier bank deposit when operating fee computer.
  1. Daily collection and categorization of process parking ticket transactions.
  1. Stock and maintain all revenue control equipment.
  1. Ability to work flexible shift schedule.
  1. Ability to be trained to operate and maintain revenue control equipment.
  1. Skilled in maintenance and the upkeep of a facility.
  1. Ability to log information and make mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
  1. Knowledge and ability to use a calculator and fee computer.
  1. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Maintenance Technician

Under limited supervision performs general maintenance functions and activities such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, minor electrical work, minor mechanical work, and general repair at the buildings, facilities, and grounds owned or managed by The Public Building Authority (“PBA”) by performing the following duties.

  1. Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
  1. Responds to requests for service relating to building maintenance and repair issues or problems from building and facilities’ tenants.
  1. Performs general building maintenance and repairs such as plumbing, carpentry masonry work, roof repairs and small engine repairs.
  1. Assist with maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
  1. Assist with evaluating the condition of maintenance related equipment, tools, and parts.  Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts in machines and equipment.
  1. Assists in the assembly and disassembly of equipment.
  1. Assists in the installation and repair of door locks, locking mechanisms and related hardware.
  1. Transports or carries tools, supplies and/or equipment to various building, facility or project locations on foot or using company vehicle(s).
  1. Erects scaffolding and/or positions extension ladders to make repairs in high places.
  1. Assists in HVAC and environmental control functions.
